*****SOLD - Private Collector - July, 2009*****
There wasn't a ball in the world he couldn't catch. Thus, his nickname: Jerry "World" Rice. Before he broke every receiving record the NFL had ever known, Rice was an humble southern gentleman from a rural Mississippi community. Hailing from Crawford, MS, Jerry thrust himself into the national spotlight while playing college ball at Mississippi Valley State. After being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers, Rice started and completed the most extraordinary receiving career in NFL history. He also won fans over all across the country. Collectors have embraced his 1986 Topps rookie card. In the football collecting world, I can't think of a better way to spend 971 common cards than a fantastic replica of the 1986 Topps Jerry Rice rookie card. For this project I used:
(552) 1986 Topps Football cards
(17) 1990 ProSet Football cards
(21) 1991 Proline Football cards
(51) 1987 Fleer Baseball cards
(241) 1987 Topps Baseball cards (Frame Only)
(57) 1990 Donruss Baseball Cards
(32) 1991 Score Baseball cards (Black Line Frame only)

This is the first card I have reproduced that featured a photo of a player from the waist-up. It was a major learning experience, and I am very happy with the end result.
