Making your common cards more valuable - ONE CUT AT A TIME!!

"The Mick"

Here is part 2 of the Holy Grail sportscard series, the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle.  Just like "The Holy Grail", I used nothing but common baseball cards from 1985-1991.  Cut - paste.  Cut - paste.  Cut - paste.  Over and over again.  Due to the detail and the varying color in the '52 Mantle, this one took over 1,100 cards.  1,117 to be exact:

(31) 1985 Topps
(64) 1986 Topps
(317) 1987 Topps {for frame only}
(122) 1988 Topps
(45) 1986 Fleer
(449) 1987 Fleer
(89) 1991 Score {for lettering and black line framing only}
1,117 TOTAL CARDS
(1) pair of scissors
(10) professional quality glue sticks
(32) Total Hours of Work Time

And I started cutting:
