Making your common cards more valuable - ONE CUT AT A TIME!!

"10 Grand"

It's all about the Benjamins - literally - in this one.  Being the history buff that I am, I started mapping this one out a couple of years ago.  Now that I have been able to finish it - I wonder why I didn't do it sooner!  Benajmin Franklin - one of only 2 persons on a U.S. paper currency that was NOT a President of the United States - is certainly a historical figure that has captured the imagination of Americans throughout the centuries.  My trip to Boston a few years ago allowed me explore the way things were during our nation's early years; I can't wait to get the same opportunity in Philadelphia!

This one measures 16" X 20".  Completed October, 2009.  Prints are available!

So I started out with a WHOLE BUNCH of  photocopied $100 bills (the ink was off a bit to keep me from feeling like a counterfieter):

$10,100 "worth" of hundred dollar bills:

I sketched out Mr. Franklin.............

Then I started cutting and pasting..........

When I finished, I had my portrait of Benjamin Franklin - worth approximately 10 grand.............
